APPRENTICE RELIEF BUS OPERATOR

Job Description
Transit Bus Operators are responsible for the safe operation of a passenger bus on assigned routes and schedules. The position requires an individual with a courteous and positive attitude toward the public at all times.
Bus Operators must drive safely, answer questions about all routes and schedules, and ensure passengers pay fares. Adheres to safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure the well-being of Torrance Transit customers and employee.

We provide transportation service to our customers on 12 routes connecting them from downtown Los Angeles, downtown Long Beach, SO-FI Stadium and LAX to Del Amo Fashion Center, Redondo Beach Pier and the Torrance Transit Park and Ride Regional Transit Center (Opening Soon in 2023).
A Bus Operator position offers:
- Great pay and benefits: The Apprentice Relief Bus Operators start at $18.11 per hour during ARBO training and work up to $26.30 per hour (top-step) as a full-time Bus Operator.

Qualification Requirements
- Drivers License to show that you are at least 21 years old.
- Five (5) years of driving experience in California with a safe driving record.
- For Bus Operator applicants, a minimum of One (1) year of driving experience with Class A or B license.
- Driving Record (K4) from the DMV dated in the last thirty days.

- Availability to work various shifts on weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Training varies from 3 to 4 months for ARBO, and for RBO and Full-time Bus Operators is from 3 to 4 weeks.
