  • All passengers MUST board from the rear door only. Only passengers with wheelchairs and other medical equipment needs can board from the front door.
  • All buses are running Saturday schedule Monday thru Friday, with peak hours service on Lines 4X and Line 6. Please click here for more modified schedule.

Kim Turner2 Hello and welcome aboard the Torrance Transit System! It is our pleasure to provide safe, reliable, inexpensive and courteous transportation service to all of our customers.

The Torrance Transit System prides itself on being the “little Transit agency that does big things”. We have been in continuous operation since 1940, and we are proud to do our part as a regional partner, providing public transportation service to almost four million riders on an annual basis.

On July 1, 2016, Torrance Transit officially became a 100% Alternative-Fuel transit agency. We currently operate one of the newest and cleanest bus fleets in the nation.

On April 25, 2017, we launched Torrance Transit's mobile application, called “Transit”, in partnership with a Canadian based firm. Since that time, there have been over 1,500 downloads and over 15,000 views directly from our customers. Bus riders can now locate any of our buses in real-time operation in order to more effectively plan their trips.

Summer and Fall of 2017 will be an exceptionally productive time for us, as we will be unveiling our new bus stop signs that will make it easier for patrons to locate and identify which bus route travels on their corridor. In addition, we will also be moving forward with the construction and installation of new bus shelters along our Rapid 3 Bus corridor. Our Line 4X Express to Downtown Los Angeles will also be enhancing its service frequency and expanding to include limited Saturday service. We will also be upgrading the bicycle racks on each of our buses to allow all of them to carry up to three bicycles.

Finally, work continues on the Torrance Transit Park and Ride Regional Terminal. This new transit center will be not only a state-of-the-art facility but also environmentally friendly and serve as the region’s premiere transportation hub.
