Express Service to Downtown Los Angeles

Starting on October 2nd 2017Line 4X Express will provide bi-directional express service between Torrance and Downtown Los Angeles that will replace our current Line 4. It will be a fast and convenient express service that will provide riders an opportunity to travel to work as well as local attractions and the liveliest corridors of Downtown L.A. to Torrance. Some of the major Points of Interests include:

  • Del Amo Mall in Torrance
  • Torrance Civic Center
  • USC and Exposition Park
  • L.A. Convention Center, Staples Center, and L.A. Live
  • L.A. City Hall,
  • L.A. Central library, and
  • Major transportation hubs such as L.A. Union Station, 7th Street Metro Center, and Harbor Gateway Center

Line 4X Express service will operate every half-hour on weekdays between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. in the morning and between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the evening, and every hour on Saturdays between 9 a.m.and 7 p.m. in both directions.

In an effort to increase service speed and reliability on the southbound route, we will continue on Flower St. from Downtown Los Angeles until entering the 110-Freeway.  Please refer to the route map for route changes.

The base fare for this express service will remain at $2.00.
